Great to see the PhonePayPlus report on the expected increase of charitable giving by young people in 2012. The team here at Pocket App are rightly proud of their engagement in the charitable giving sector, which started as early as 2005 when the team helped the British Legion run the first Poppy appeal as a digital download. Paul Swaddle and Andrew Hull were early pioneers in improving out payments for charities via premium rate SMS and in 2010 Paul ran the text donations for Children in Need, seeing text used for the first time.
More recently the team have turned their attentions to using premium rate SMS as a donation tool embedded within mobile applications, for charities such as the Eve Appeal on iOS.
